Being offered is an exceptionally large and heavy sterling silver (tea)tray by Atkin Brothers of Sheffield, England— hallmarked 1903.
It has a gadroon design around the rim intercepted by a shell design on each side and corner. The entire inside is etched with a large cartouche in the center for a monogram. The handles are scalloped with that same shell design in the center. Designed and manufactured during the reign of King Edward VII, heir to Queen Victoria.
