There are five swirls along the edge of the candy dish. If you look down from on top, it appears like an open flower. The center has nice depth, so it can hold lots of treats. Tiffany & Co. often turned to nature and natural shapes for inspiration. What it lacks in decor it more than makes up in shape and design.
